It was reported that some of our students were called over to a white sedan at Niu Valley Shopping Center 7-11 after school on January 6th, and were asked for money for gas. A police report was submitted for this incident. Please encourage your child:
- to be vigilant and safe,
- to not approach cars that they are not familiar with,
- to not talk to or approach people they do not know,
- to not give money to strangers.
Sometimes children feel safe when they are with a friend, however, that may not always be the case. Remind your child that a responsible adult would not think less of them if they ignored a stranger.
