Bracelets for Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii

September 16, 2019

During SY 2018-2019, Ms. Maya Sullivan’s ELA students Kamryn Ayano, Karis Sensano and Kohana Thai made bracelets and raised $300 to help Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii.  The students received a request to make 100 additional bracelets to help the organization. Jim Mendoza of Hawaii News Now visited the school, interviewed Ms. Sullivan and the girls, and filed this story.

Art for the HeART

December 4, 2019

Lancers create beautiful mini-posters (on 8.5″ x 11″ paper) for people who are ill or in need of visual cheer. Advised by teachers Joseph Lileikis and Jeff Tam, student volunteers create each piece by hand and mail the final piece to the recipient. It’s a small way of sharing aloha beyond our classroom walls.
