Leadership class students started sign waving on Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021, reminding drivers to be mindful of other vehicles and pedestrians on our roads, and to drive with aloha.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE MORNING:  One vehicle, a white late model Nissan 4-door truck, moved forward to the start of autoline and from that vehicle quickly popped out 4 students who were out of the vehicle in seconds, with their backpacks, lunches, and water flasks on hand!  And all the students already had their masks on!  Mahalo for keeping our autoline efficient and safe!

In our efforts to relieve our autoline congestion, we have been receiving support from our community partners, including the Honolulu Police Department, the City Council Chair Tommy Waters office, and the City Department of Transportation Services.

  • We should be seeing in-road pedestrian signs soon, as well as No Parking Signs on Kanau Street.
  • Our staff will soon be assisting pedestrians at the crosswalks by holding up red flags.
  • We will also be looking into the City’s Safe Routes to School Program.  Please help us by completing the following short survey by visiting https://forms.gle/LV5z6z
