Our new principal will be joining our staff on October 15, 2018! Principal Ms. Laura Ahn comes to us with many years of experience. She is a former vice principal and alumnus of Kalani High School. She leaves Kalihi Uka Elementary School where she spent the past eight years as principal. They were recently recognized as a Blue Ribbon School. A message from Ms. Ahn:
“I am so grateful to have this opportunity to broaden my administrative experiences and work with the wonderful Niu Valley community. I have heard so many accolades about NVMS and experienced the positive ohana first hand at the 2018 Fam Jam. I would like to send a shout out to Mr. Tsuruda for stepping in as interim principal. His commitment and endless hours of hard work for the students and the school has been commendable. Thank you Mr. Tsuruda and the entire leadership team!”
