Before we head into the weekend I want to share a heartwarming story of a student having omoiyari (consideration, empathy, compassion) and embracing our school vision of living aloha and making a difference.
Our office received a call from a community member who shared that she was at Aina Haina Starbucks yesterday and was touched by the caring actions of one of our students (who was wearing our school uniform shirt). As the woman was trying to stand up from the table, one of our students noticed that she was struggling due to another table being so close to her. Our student went over to her and moved the other table for her and told her, “Aunty, let me help you” and “have a nice day”. She was so touched by our student’s kindness and wanted to let us know. What a feel good moment!
